The Center for Obesity and its Consequences in Health (COACH): Why Children's?
The COACH (Center for Obesity and its Consequences in Health) Program at Children's Medical Center Dallas has been helping families tackle childhood obesity since 2006. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to tackling weight issues and other medical conditions commonly found with obesity.
The entire program is designed to provide patients and their families with intensive weight management therapy to support them in achieving and maintaining lifelong habits of good nutrition and healthy activities. The goal of the team is to provide a comfortable and safe environment for children to make healthy lifestyle choices, lose weight and to ultimately prevent lifelong medical complications.
If your child struggles with obesity, they are not alone. Nearly one in three children in America is overweight or obese. The bad news for these children is that obesity can lead to serious health consequences. The good news is you can take action today to help your child lose weight and put him or her on a path to a healthy future.
